I love air fryer tater tots, but when I am wanting something a little different from traditional tater tots, I grab these veggie tots every time. They are one of my favorite easy air fryer recipes. Veggie tots can be made and purchased in several different flavors. You can get veggie tots made with sweet potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, and more. It’s up to you and your personal preference. You’ll find these frozen veggie tots in the freezer section of most grocery stores.

Ingredients:

frozen veggie tots (I use Green Giant veggie tots)

How to Make Veggie Tots in the Air Fryer

Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare the basket of the air fryer with non-stick cooking spray such as olive oil or avocado oil. Add the frozen tots in a single layer in the bottom of a prepared and preheated air fryer basket. Air fry veggie tots at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown, tossing the tots halfway through the cooking time. Carefully remove the veggie tots from the air fryer. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce on a serving plate. NOTE: This recipe was made with a basket-style Cosori 5.8qt Air Fryer. If you are using a different brand of air fryer, you may need to adjust the cooking time slightly. You can also use parchment paper to help keep the air fryer basket clean. If using parchment paper, make sure to preheat the air fryer BEFORE placing the parchment paper into the air fryer. OPTIONAL TOTS: You can grab different vegetable tots such as frozen cauliflower veggie tots, broccoli cheese tots, sweet potato tots, zucchini tots, and air fryer broccoli tots. OPTIONAL TOPPINGS: You can change up the flavors by sprinkling the cooked veggie tots with parmesan cheese or different seasonings such as onion powder or garlic powder. This is a fun appetizer, and the best part is you have a ton of options if you are picky about one vegetable over another. It’s also the perfect way to sneak in a few veggies with the kiddos.

What can I serve with veggie tots?

Veggie tots are a great snack on their own, but they are also great with veggie burgers, and black bean burgers.

What dipping sauces can I use?

Use your favorite flavored dipping sauce. We love to use ranch dressing, thousand island, and good ole ketchup for dipping. I also love to dip broccoli and cheese sauce in queso cheese. So good!

What can I make with the remaining tots?

Consider making a fun breakfast casserole or dinner casserole using the leftover veggie tots as a base. More Air Fryer Recipes:
